Luke 17:26-27

These people were eating, drinking, marrying - all normal everyday activities. It's what makes the world go round - we work from 9-5, take our kids to school, make our houses look better, etc. There's nothing wrong in and of those things,
but being preoccupied with mundane matters can distract us so much that we forget the kingdom of God within us and our purpose on this earth - to glorify Him in everything so that people come to know him.

"Perhaps the reason you don't long for His return is because you don't spend much time with Him now. You may be indifferent to His coming because He is not your greatest hope."
